General Tips for Parents (from one of the top schools in NY)

August 23, 2010 at 2:27 pm (parents)

Jericho High School in Long Island is doing very well apparently.  They also offer a wonderul variety of world languages!!!  (Italian, French, Sign Language, Chinese, Latin, Spanish…We’re jealous!)

I like their website because it offers resources to parents in particular.  Here are some great resources/tips!  I’m particularly enamoured on the study habits section–we’re talking note-taking and test-taking skills.  Let’s not ignore the social alerts, particularly concerning heroin, though.  (Just because we live in a small town doesn’t mean that we are exempt from the dangers of drugs, depression and eating disorders.)

There are also some good links/information on transitioning into the world from IEPs etc.
